Are Your Water Pipes Banging Around?

Are your showers running at a low trickle? Or is there a slamming noise when you flush the toilet? In this video, we’ll go over what those things mean. Then we'll talk about the difference between pressure and volume. We'll also tell you the tool your home uses to protect itself.
When water comes in from the city, it’s often at a higher pressure than is suitable for your home. That high-pressure water can cause your fixtures to wear out faster. That can mean leaks from your pipes and faucets. In the video, we also talk about why it can cause those banging pipes.
You'll need a pressure regulating valve to prevent that kind of thing from happening. It's built into your main water line and it controls the water pressure coming in. You can even adjust your valve pressure higher or lower to get the right pressure (50-70 psi) as long as it hasn’t failed. (Or is too old)
If you're having issues with leaky faucets or slow showers, it can be a good idea to test your water pressure. We go over how to do that in the video. If you’ve tested your water pressure and still aren’t sure what’s going on, Any Hour Services would be happy to help.
